The Goodbyn

May 7th, 2010 — 11:58am

Finally, something my kid can take to school that is cool, healthy, and made regionally. Goodbyn is a company in Washington that set out to reinvent the lunchbox, and has done so in a smashing way. Manufactured in Michigan, it is a product of the good ol’ U.S. of A., without the phthalates and BPAs. It encourages parents to fill it with wholesome, good stuff, and it looks like a million bucks. I’m ordering one. Photo and product ©byndoo, llc.

Lunchskins

February 23rd, 2010 — 8:25am

Every day 20 million plastic bags end up in our landfills – and that’s just from school lunches! Faced with this insane statistic, three responsible and inventive moms formed 3greenmoms, superheroes of our environment. Back in December I purchased a couple of LunchSkins for my son’s lunch, and after two months of use I can say that they are a superb product and a simple, yet revolutionary solution to our waste problems.

Not only am I buying more LunchSkins, I am telling every school parent I know about them. Maybe I can get the school involved in selling these as a fundraiser?? Raise funds for school, save the environment? Maybe the first baggie-free school in America? Hmmm.
